How LUMIVEX™ works
Most serums saturate the stratum corneum and stop. LUMIVEX™ penetrates to the stratum spinosum — four cellular layers deeper — where collagen precursor pathways are active.
Surface application
Applied to cleansed skin, LUMIVEX™ immediately forms a breathable film across the stratum corneum. The low-viscosity base, formulated with a synthetic squalane analogue, begins rapid absorption within 90 seconds.
Transdermal passage via molecular weight advantage
At 847.3 Da, Abyssolide-9™ sits below the 1,000 Da cutoff for transdermal diffusion. It passes through intercellular lipid channels in the stratum corneum and granulosum — a journey conventional surface peptides (typically >2,000 Da) cannot complete.
Stratum spinosum activation
Once in the stratum spinosum, Abyssolide-9™ binds to transmembrane prolyl hydroxylase domains, upregulating HIF-1α-independent collagen type I and type III synthesis. This is the cellular site where real structural skin renewal begins.
Chromophore neutralisation
Secondary to its peptide activity, Abyssolide-9™ exhibits melanin-interference properties at high keratinocyte density zones — explaining the 73.4% reduction in periorbital hyperpigmentation observed in clinical trial data.

Application Protocol
How to use LUMIVEX™

Cleanse
Apply to thoroughly cleansed, slightly damp skin. Pat dry — do not rub.

Dispense
Draw 2–3 drops into the dropper. Do not exceed 4 drops per application. Abyssolide-9™ is potent at low concentration.

Press
Press — do not rub — into skin using the flat of four fingers. Focus on periorbital, nasolabial, and forehead zones. Allow 90 seconds for initial absorption.

Seal
Follow with a non-occlusive moisturiser to seal the serum layer. Avoid heavy occlusives (petrolatum, mineral oil) as they inhibit peptide migration.

SPF (AM)
In the morning routine, apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ as the final step. Abyssolide-9™ sensitises the chromophore pathways it targets, increasing UV vulnerability temporarily.

- Copper peptides — ionic interference with MHF-7743 extract binding sites
